Psychodynamic psychotherapy

Psychodynamic psychotherapy, or talk therapy, delves into the unconscious to uncover patterns, conflicts, and emotions that influence our thoughts and behaviors. This approach creates a reflective space to explore the deep, often hidden parts of ourselves, fostering insight and emotional growth. Clients can revisit past experiences, understand their impact on the present, and work toward meaningful and lasting change.

Art therapy

This approach utilizes a nonverbal mode of self-expression to access deep and unconscious parts of ourselves that can remain hidden. A variety of materials can be used in individual or group sessions, including but not limited to collage, paint, and drawing materials.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR is an effective technique for resolving trauma. It addresses both single-event traumas—like accidents or acts of violence—and developmental traumas from childhood, such as humiliation, bullying, or physical, sexual, or emotional abuse.

Trauma can become “stuck” in the body and nervous system, leading to symptoms of PTSD. EMDR uses bilateral stimulation—such as eye movements or tapping—to help process and resolve these experiences. By integrating mind and body, EMDR supports lasting healing and recovery. Learn more here.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis induces deep relaxation, or trance, allowing focused inward attention and access to inner strengths. It enhances problem-solving, self-control, and potential. Combined with other therapies, it can address anxiety, confidence, phobias, self-esteem, and medical issues.

Mindfulness-based interventions

Mindfulness practices cultivate present-moment awareness through focused attention and acceptance. By observing thoughts, emotions, and sensations without judgment, mindfulness helps reduce stress, enhance self-awareness, and improve emotional regulation. Integrated with therapy, it supports addressing anxiety, depression, and overall well-being, fostering clarity, resilience, and balance.
